Ali Jordan was born and raised in
Jersey City, New Jersey. He is one of 10 brothers and 4
sisters. Being raised in the church, gospel played a huge
part in his background. His father; Reverend Robert
Jordan, was pastor of Grace Baptist Church and his
mother; Barbara Ritchwood-Hill was the Ministry of Music.
Here is where his talents were refined and Ali mastered
his singing. He and his family formed the gospel group
The Jordanaires and performed gospel well
into his adolescent years. Ali plays several instruments
including the piano and guitar, which are his
specialties. Ali love of music lead him to write
and produce all of his material today.
Born Thomas Ritchwood on September 13, 1976, Ali
continued his singing in the R&B genre which appealed
to his generation and his writing and producing abilities
reflected the impact that R&B would play in his
career. His music reflects the life he lived growing up
in Jersey City and the trials and tribulations of living
in the inner city . A soulful vibrant talent he sings
with passion and writes in a way that paints a picture of
reality.
Ali built a name for himself locally and developed a
solid following. Currently he is the first artist on the
new label KIJA Entertainment and he is expanding his fan
base by touring the East and West Coasts.
